Ingredients
3 egg whites
1 tbsp.of sugar
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 cups of milk
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp of following spices
bitter orange
lemon
clove
cinnamon
star anise
ginger
nutmeg
cardamon
Figs
3 cups of sugar
1 Pomegranate
Ingredients - Frosting
1 cup sugar powder
3 tbsp. milk
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, salt, milk, egg yolk and all the gingerbread spices.
- Whisk the egg white whites with the tbsp. of sugar till it’s mad stiff.
- Fold the the egg white gently into the pancake batter.
- Get your pans out, let the pancake voodoo begin.
- Peel your pomegranate
- Mix the sugar powder with the milk
- Heat up the three cups of sugar till you have nice caramel and dip your fig in there.
- Ready to serve!
Notes
You like your pancakes more savory? Make a blue cheese sauce instead a frosting one.
Sounds cray, huh? But it’s really tasty. My swedish friends taught me that and it’s totally worth a try.
