I felt madly in love with this town, but I also have to say that St.Petersburg is not easy to handle. Everything happens the russian way and those russians are just crazy. I'm russian myself, so I know what I'm talking about.
I spotted some really cool places, likeThe Hat Bar, it's a Jazz Bar, owend by the makers of the russian & awesome musicians of Billy's Band. They jammin' every night and it's insane how good they are. It's the coolest bar I've ever been to, fo sho! More in part III.

My granny turned 70 years old this summer. She lives in Kazakhstan, Abai, the small village I grew up in, besides taking care of her beautiful house, Baba Nina is selling Mary Kaybeauty products on a market in Almaty. Therefore she is running around like a bad ass woman, to keep the money coming. She's a Hustler and the coolest person I know. She teached me how to play cards and how to make finger licking good Blinis. Thank you Baba Nina for being so next level, granny.

See u soon.

Well what can I say, I guess sooner or later I had to love in love with the danish label Wood Wood. Can't really decide what's about, good gurl gone bad or bad gurl gone good? Either way around I like the attitude of their current collection. I already have my eyes on some jackets, but let's see about that, first I went for some basic stuff, oh yeah basic stuff, that's the sheeyit I like. In Hamburg you will find Wood Wood at YBDPT or check them outonline.

Happy healthy cooking!

  • photos: anna wegelin
I really enjoyed the Cheap MondaySpring/Summer '14 Show last night here in Stockholm. The location was an extraordinary setup in the backyard of the historical building of Hallwyllska Museet next to Nobis Hotel. Gangster, Gold Digger meets Coco Chanel – the collection was bad ass.

  • photos: anna wegelin
I‘m such a lucky girl, that I had the chance to go back to Stockholm, after I‘ve been there a few weeks ago for Midsommar. But this time I went to Sweden for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, well at least I thought so. I don't know why but somehow this trip turned into a food week. That is why I decided to introduce you to my very personal food guide, packed with my favorite dining & wining, breakfast & sweet tooth places, I newly discovered, and the spots, that I always go back to everytime I‘m in town.
Surprise, surprise I gained at leat 5 pounds while I was in Stockholm, so I know what I'm talking about when I tell you guys that Sweden is like food heaven to me. I ate a lot! Only for the reason, to make you guys happy with this kick ass food guide.
We, me and my buddy, food & fashion partner in crime Fabian Hart, started our culinary tour in the gorgeous Restaurant Riche. We were eating swedish crayfish, toast with creamed chanterelles and the classic Toast Skagen with Kalix vendance roe. Oh my, what a kick off! So simple but most def delicious.
Only a few hours later, after shopping at ACNE we decided to check out the restaurant, B.A.R.. directed by award-winning chefs Henrik Norström and Peter Johansson. We ended up having more smoked crayfish, fresh lobster and bouzigues oysters. It was heavenly good!During our visit we stayed in the very charming & eco friendlyHotel Skeppsholmenand of course we didn‘t missed the chance to try the food here. The breakfast was already so good that I had quite high expectations.
Lucky us, we had the best weather ever, so we enjoyed our lunch on the sunny terrace next to the water.
I had the smoked cod roe with red onion, chives and sour cream. I couldn‘t ask for more, that‘s how good it was!
You will find more awesome food spots in my food guide below. I really hope you will enjoy those places as much as I did. Happy travelling to Stockholm everyone!

I don't wanna say it too loud, but I can't wait for autumn to come. The smell of the leaves, foogy mornings, 24/7 pumpkin soup, my YSL No. 8 Lipstick, I'm like more than excited about those things. And of course, I already did some Autumn/Winter shooping. I found a very nice berry toned skirt and a dark blue top/bathing suit by& Other Stories, while I was inStockholm last week.

  • 09/06/13--00:56: FOOD MARKET IN KAZAKHSTAN
  • photos: anna wegelin
This is how food shopping in Kazakhstan looks like. It's like, if you want some meat, well go and find yourself a lamb. Buying your dinner ingredients is a true highlight, you will find crazy parts of animals, like pig heads, neat's tongue or offal in every corner.
I think there are no vegetarians in Kazakhstan and no one does convenience foods, which I like alot. Plus everything is so much cheaper there, you really get something for your money, you will pay only a few cents for a bag of veggies.
I was eating schaschlik and plombir ice cream all the time while I was there. It's all about homemade food and simple recipes, but simple ain't easy, I think it's some sort of art to create good schaschlik. My Dad is a master if it comes to that, no one does it better. The good thing is, that I know all of his secrets, I guess there will be a schaschlik special soon!
